DINNER AT THE TIFFIN CENTER

Everyday some moments may go unnoticed. May be sometimes you get noticed by all because of your obnoxious behaviour. Some may say you are over ambitious. Some may say you are selfish. Whatever be it, the above said things would cross your mind after the incident. You might think, “God, what have I done?”, “Why did I go to that place?” You would fail to notice a thing, because of your one silly behaviour, things might get into normal. This has happened yesterday night at a mini restaurant which is two blocks away from my home.
“Selvam Tiffin Center” my favourite one not because of the kind of food they are preparing. But because of the accent they speak.  Whenever I eat there, I feel that I’m in my home town because of their accent. Since my mom is not home, I had to eat there every night. Yesterday night 8:30, I went there for my routine dinner.
The restaurant was always crowded. Since they have less space, you have to stand and eat. I went there and didn’t know that something was wrong with the center boys. If you are a stranger, you hardly notice it. So, I went in and thought of eating Idlies. Two center boys started abusing each other. Till that time, things were under control. Suddenly, one of the two boys slammed a big plate on the head of the other boy. I was stunned and everyone was. My eyes blinked and my mind voice said “Oh my God, Where did that come from?”
After that incident, both started to hit each other and people who came there to buy food, started to pacify but things went out of control. I should have kept my mouth shut. Well, this is what I said during that fiery fight. “Anna (brother), please pack four Idlies”. Was I over ambitious there? Everyone stopped pacifying and started staring at me. “Did I do a murder or something? I am not responsible for this”. The worst case was, the two boys who were fighting stopped their fight suddenly and looked at me questioningly. I didn’t know what to do. My mind voice said “What did I do? Why did they stop the fight?”  One of the boys shouted “Muruga (the other boy’s name is murugan), pack four Idlies”.
Idlies were packed at a rapid pace. I got my parcel and left the place. Before moving out of the shop, I turned to have a one last look, I said to myself “never do those again”. The stares started to fade, situation turned normal and I was the one who had the last laugh.
